Tony Guoga, who's real name is Antanas Guoga, is one of the most controversial players you of the whole world of pro poker players.
He was born in Kuana, Lithuania on the 17th of December 1973. Hi family moved to Australia and that's where his poker career begins.
Although Lithuanian by birth, Tony considers himself very much Australian and is enjoying his fame signing autographs and freely giving advice.
It is a well known fact that Tony was addicted to poker that he went to Las Vegas to play poker using fake ID cards, because he wasn't 21 yet.
But Vegas would have been a tough ride for him, he then lost a lot of money and had to go back to Europe to re-gain enough money to face the pros.
He started competing in the major poker tournaments since 2001 and in 2003 he finished fifth in the World Poker Tour in Paris.
Since then he always improved and, as far as we know, his winnings now exceed 2.000.000 USD.
Tony is well known for his aggressive playing and his bad attitude to insult and get on the nerves of his opponents. But away from the tables he is reported to be an easygoing person. Nevertheless he earned he nice nicknames of “Australian Airbag” and “The Mouth form Down Under” by his opponents.
It seems that this tactic brought him such a fame that it's not uncommon to see him playing on TV because, where Tony G is, there is always something worth seeing.
